Festive Haul / Zara & ModCloth

Hello everybody!

We are on this time when you have your agenda pretty much overbook with parties, cocktails, shopping, restaurant... you got the idea! So, we're also in a mood for a very trendy and new  wardrobe. I recently been shopping for clothes to wear on these special evening. So, I haven't buy a tons, but I love these pieces so here we go...

On Black Friday, ModCloth has 100 items 50% off! Being a sucker for this online store (as you didn't noticed yet!) well, I got my hands on this lovely Year After Yesterday dress! I paid that dress 25$, now it's at 52$, so it really was a bargain! I'm very pleased with that. Anyway, this cute peter pan collared dress is so vintage and dorky! Here's how I'd style it.

I've been eyeing these tights for several weeks. I just think they're super innovator. It's kind of a two in one. I think knee socks are pretty, but somehow I'm not brave enough and the fact that the cold wind would make me look 'half-naked' with knee socks, this is a great option! Get these Know a Trick or Tow tights! These little shoes are perfect if you're not up to a grand 'adulthood' event, you get the crown without the duty; you get the heels but not one of those madame heel, they're quite settle but pretty. It's for a very large age range! Get these Dashing to Dinner wedge. Last but not least, this lovely Wishes and Whims bag suits the dress marvellously! Cute with its little gold bow and the scallop edges, not too big, just perfect for a nice restaurant with friends!

The next thing I got from ModCloth is a piece that I've been dying to buy for several weeks as well! This is the Embark Upon Adventure top. I love nautical clothes, I'm a big fan of the colour navy, so when I was about to check out with this red dress I couldn't help but add this one lovely top! It is a sheer top so I need a black camisole. It's long enough to wear leggings, jeggings, jeans... Or to tuck in. Let's just get 'wowed' by the sailor collar, can't wait to wear this one!

I can see this top with a pair of tailored short, just to suit this vintage marine wave. I went on Asos to find these High Waist Linen short, quite basic but let's just all agree to say that the master piece remains in the fabulous collar of the top! As it is winter time, let's not forget to put on some black tights. Not navy because it would look strange with the black short... As for my feet I'll go for something vintage as well, these A Wink of Whimsical wedge are very cute and I love the ankle straps and the velvet! I'd chose a clutch or a very small bag, and if you choose this outfit for an night out or a cocktail, it would be more practical. This Glacial Reasoning bag has a rectangular almost square vintage shape, I love the scallop edges and the colour blue goes hand in hand with the rest of the outfit! Too bad I didn't buy all of these :(

I love Zara, the fabrics of their clothes is always good quality and let's just say, it's very trendy and 'adulthood'. So, I wanted something more that way for certain events I have planned. I first got this baggy Polka Dot dress. The main colour is navy with dark mustard dots. The peter pan collar  is white as well as each ends of the cuffed sleeves. It's a very light piece of clothe but not sheer, so no worries. It's easy to pull of a more edgy style with this dress as for a more settle one, as you wish!

I was wondering what colour should be worn as tights, navy or mustard? I opted for mustard because, well, isn't a very nice colour on your legs to have? Get those Tight for Every Occasion in mustard. For an edgy look you can never go wrong with a pair of black ankle boots! When you look at the dress online, Zara give these Flat Chelsea boot to help create a look from the dress. These boots are perfect for an edgy yet adulthood style! For the bag, I thought with that style, the bigger, the better. So I looked for some cool shopper bag on Zara and I found this Plain Shopper with Metal Detailing. It makes the whole look even more serious. It's a very dark navy colour and it seems like a good bag to hide your laptop.

The last thing I got has also a peter pan collar and if you haven't noticed, everything I got have one... I love collars very much, let's just say that. Soon, this obsession will have total control of my wardrobe and every tops and dresses will be collared! Anyways, the last thing I got is a sheer floral blouse. The main colour is black and the flowers are pink, blue and cream.

It's a long length blouse so it's pretty with leggings. I'd put a black top underneath and as far as I'm concern, I'm not a big fan of jeans but when I saw the model with jeans I thought, "Hey, this is actually cool!". I looked in the jeans section and I found those Slim Fit jeans, I love the fact that it's ankle length, it gives a little je-ne-sais-quoi to a basic pair of jeans! I'd go for a good pair of oxford, these Trips of the Trade flat in state blue recall the colour from the blouse, they're simply adorable! Final; the bag. This is a casual look which for me as to be a bag big enough to carry my 'girly-girl stuff'. The colour of this Professional Appointee tote is stunning, told you I'm a sucker of navy! Anyways, it is big enough to cary a tons of useless thing, as we all do girls.

These dresses and that blouse I got are still on my December Crush, I highly recommend, ModCloth and Zara as online shop, they sell good quality as well as trendy pieces! :) Good luck finding your gems! and Merry Christmas!

NAIL IT!

Howdy every one!
Here's some ESSIE nail polishes to create some fantastic looks either for the Christmas time OR just because you feel like rocking those beautiful colours on your nails.
First thing first, these are the main colours I feel for the winter time!
1. Pop Daddy; bright and creamy tomato red. You can never go wrong with a bold red for Christmas time and any day I believe! ;)
2. Stylenomics; wealthy, rich and opulent dark green. This one can be very classy, I can see a dark velvet dress to suit this glamour tone.
3. Skirting The Issue; an exquisite, fashionable burgundy red. We all can agree that burgundy is one of those colour that pops the entire fall/winter season. It totally a must-have in your collection.
4. Chinchilly; sleek granite grey. This is one nail colours that is climbing the most-loved of this time. those taupy-greyish colour are trendy!

This is a compilation of Essie, I find it very in trend right now with the 'army-like' style. So here's the colours they used;
1. Sand Tropez; a soft sandy beige.
2. Chinchilly; like I cited above a sleek granite grey.
3. Sew Psyche; a cashmere soft pewter.
4. Armed ready; an outfitted army green with pearl.
5. Stylenomics; again cited above, a wealthy rich opulent dark green.
1. As Gold As It Gets; guaranteed gold metallic.
2. Forever Young; creamy tango red.
3. Shifting Powers; sizzling molten gold cream.

Nail art idea #1: Apply nail polish 3 on every nails but the ring one. Apply nail polish 2 on the ring one. Apply nail polish 1 on every gold nails when it's all dry up! Here you go, simple but very Christmasy!
Nail art Idea #2: Put tape on the edge (about 2-3millimeters depending on the length of your nails) of each nails. Apply nail polish 2 on the un-tape part of the nails. Wait for it to dry before taking off the tape. When dry, put tape on the red part of your nails. Put nail polish 3, wait for it to dry, then apply nail polish 1, and so for every edges of your nails! Again, very Christmasy those three colours are perfect together!

*The reason why I layer two gold nail polishes is to have the fulfilled 'glitter's look' I'm looking for, and not just some dispatched glitters over a basic nail polish, you might need extra coats for extra glitters!;)

So, how are you going to paint your nails on the d day? :)

I am twenty and I am lame.

Not a Christmas/winter post related!*

Howdy!
It's only one of those 'motivation post' I'm trying to write. I personally think it's more for myself but whatever, if it can helps other people well, I'm killing two birds with one stone! I ain't going to lie, as a women in my twenties I get the blues often, more often than what I had planned for my twenties!

Here I am, a sunday afternoon, I wake up at 2pm. Every one says that these are the best days of your life, well, they're obviously lying! Personally I think the thirties are the best, where you have -supposed to- to have your dream job, a nice pay to fit and an apartment that shouts 'I'M A FREE WOMEN'. Twenties are harsh and hard!

I'm broke 24/7!
It is so fun to be young, to travel the world, drink wine in bars, eat at restaurants with friends, do stuff that are cool, awesome and freaking mind blowing! But guess what? I don't have the pay to fit these scenarios! I'm no Kendall Jenner, I ain't rocking Louis on my shoulder and Chanel on my glasses! I'm not sipping Veuve Clicquot somewhere between Fiji Islands and Paris! I can't afford all my mood swings, like the only thing I can afford right now is some cheap wine at 10$ in the middle of my gay BFF kitchen. Even clothes are expensive, sorry H&M, this is a rough time, I know Forever21 isn't that cheap but guess what, going to school, paying my phone and bus is so expensive, I need to wear the same dress two days in a row. YES I did that more than once. I thought that dress was pretty and fits me well, so why not?! Basically, being in my twenties is like being a teenager but with a shitload of responsibilities AKA debts and bills! Of course I'd like to have unlimited cash, like, one day I could feel like going to Japan for the week-end and spend thousands of yen on clothes, drinks and coffees, but like I said, I'm pretty much on the survivor mode. All year round....

I watch to much TV but at least it's free! RIGHT?
Ok, so what if I woke up at noon because I watched the entire first season of Revenge and True Blood? These shows are AMAZING! I want their life, I freaking want to be Sookie Stackhouse and have some quality sex with Eric -who doesn't seriously?- or being a Greyson feels like being a Kardashian, rich at birth! Ok, I know I probably watch way to much series and I spend week-ends in my pj's eating cereals and pizza in my bed, wondering why am I not the daughter of Steven Spielberg so I can make cool videos with Zooey Deschanel? I should probably join the gym but guess what? This is also expensive so I need to work on that I guess... Anyways, at least I'm still at my parent's, we have unlimited internet access so watching series help me saving money because I'm not somewhere else throwing money on Vodka with some guys I don't really want to know. Being broke has its perks! Unlimited series, YAY! However, today I ate cereals and pizza while watching Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23, I have to say, I need to kick my ass or soon it will be way too big to be kicked. If you know what I mean!

It's not that I can't see the light at the end on the tunnel, I know I won't always be like that... and by like that I mean eating cereals, soups and pizza, watching series and drinking cheap wine whenever I can spend a little 10$ here and there. One day I'll graduate, have my own apartment and have a great freaking nice pay to be able to stop being a pirate and actually buy the series I watch, subscribe channels or even watch them live - Am I going in jail because of this post? Because I literally just confess that I'm watching series illegally!-  I just wanted to say that, I hope I'm not alone and what the hell if I have a Tumbler Degree or become a cat lady... Just kidding, I won't let this happened, never!

But on a serious note though, I just wanted to reassure girls and boys in there twenties that most of the time I feel like a teenager so I guess it is a normal thing -it is right?, I'm not the only one?! Gosh, I hope not....

Happy December month everyone, let's the countdown begins! *Countdown in the wallet, presents aren't cheap, hope you know that mom & dad!

ps: I'm not that greedy ;)
